Mike was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada to a francophone mother and anglophone father.  This linguistic diversity not only instilled in Mike a love for languages, it also provided the platform from which he would venture into a world of communication. After his transition to Regina, Saskatchewan, Mike excelled academically and athletically throughout elementary and high schools and at the University of Regina.  Mike began teaching in Regina in 1996 and has taught grades five through twelve.  While teaching, Mike has never lost his zest for communication and has spoken at many leadership, youth, and professional events.  His personal pursuits include a number of sports and athletic training disciplines, a deep love of music expressed through the ability to play 5 different instruments, and a passion for the welfare of youth and local community.

Mike currently resides in Regina and enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and their beautiful baby boy.
